Bethesda account for mods1/31/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() When mod support first came to consoles at the end of May, many PC modded found that their work had been taken from nonofficial, third-party hosting sites such as Nexus Mods and then uploaded to for use on Xbox One.īethesda’s original response to this problem was to create a channel through which mod creators could file complaints under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and then have the content removed. This title update was also used to prepare PlayStation 4 and PC players to receive the mod support that Xbox currently enjoys. ![]() This process was implemented with the latest title update to Fallout 4 that happened this past week. Previously you did not require any sort of authorization to upload mods, however now requires a Steam-linked account before any upload can happen. However Bethesda are implementing a new process to stop this. Uploading Mods to will now require a Steam-linked accountīethesda released mods for Fallout 4 to consoles to much success recently with little issues, the biggest one that Bethesda have faced is theft. ![]()
